Victor Ochen is the Executive Director for African Youth Initiative Network, which he founded in 2005. His organisation assists victims of war and has so far provided reconstructive medical repair to over 21,000 war victims of rape, gun-shots and mutilation. Forbes Magazines named Victor Ochen in 2015 as one of the 10 most powerful men in Africa. He is the first Ugandan and the youngest ever African nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015. He was appointed as the United Nations Global Ambassador for Peace and Justice prompting SDG Goal 16. Ochen serves a Global Advisor to the UNHCR on Gender, Forced Displacement and Protection.
